[ABOUT THESE SHOWS]:

Hello, and I hope this finds you well. After some serious discussion, we’ve decided to convert the upcoming SAY HI Living Room Shows to LIVING ZOOM SHOWS. What are LIVING ZOOM SHOWS you ask? Well, they’re like the originally scheduled Undertow Living Room Shows, but in a small and private ZOOM setting on your computer, smart TV, tablet or phone. Here are the reasons why this decision has been made:

(A) There is a 0% chance that real life gatherings will be safe by the time these shows were supposed to start in September.

(B) These dates had already been rescheduled from March and April.

(C) There is no clear timeline for when it will be safe to gather again, so it seems like it would be silly to try and reschedule for some nebulous (possibly safe?) date in early 2021 or 2022.

(D) The ZOOM format will allow us to have a similarly-intimate gathering, from the comforts of our own homes. I will be broadcasting live video and audio from my home studio (aka WEREWOLF DISKDRIVE) and we can chat, hang out, tell jokes, virtual high-five and collectively decide which SAY HI songs will get played.

[HERE ARE SOME FAQ]:

1. HOW CAN I ATTEND?
Your originally-purchased tickets will be honored. You will be sent a private link and instructions for how to log into and participate in the show you will be attending (expect this about a week before the show). Don’t have tix? You can buy them: [HERE].

2. HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE THERE?
30-50 (ish). We’re keeping the original ticket capacity (and sold-out status) for each of the shows, so that each night will be as intimate as possible. This will make it a bit easier to accommodate your song requests too.

3. I’M SHY, CAN I JUST WATCH AND NOT BE ON CAMERA?
Yes, of course. You can be as private as you would like to be.

4. WHY ZOOM, AND NOT A LIVESTREAM ON TWITCH, INSTAGRAM or YOUTUBE?
Much like the originally-scheduled Undertow Living Room Shows, it’s far more fun to have a two-way gathering, as opposed to me playing into the digital void, while a steady stream of rando chat comments travel swiftly across the screen.

5. DO I NEED TO LIVE IN OR NEXT TO THE CITY THAT I’M PURCHASING TICKETS TO?
Nope! That’s the beauty of this format. Your ability to attend is no longer constrained by physics and if you missed out on tickets to one of the sold-out shows, you can now buy tickets for any of the other shows that are still on sale. We’ve even added a few international-time-zone friendly shows so that folks outside of North America can conveniently attend.

6. HOW MANY TICKETS SHOULD I PURCHASE?
We kindly request that you purchase a ticket for each person who plans to attend, whether or not that person will be logged in from the same place. If you purchase (or have already purchased) multiple tickets, you’ll be assigned multiple ZOOM slots that can be accessed from multiple devices. If you haven’t already, please fill out THIS FORM to let us know the names of everyone in your ticket party.

7. THIS IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR, WHAT GIVES?
As you’ve probably figured out by now, real life music shows won’t be happening for a LONG LONG LONG time. I was initially gung-ho about the fact that livestreaming wasn’t for me, but trading in a bad webcam and built-in computer microphone for a crisp DSLR camera, mood lighting and proper microphones and preamps has tipped me to the fact that the experience can actually be way more intimate, comfortable and hi-fidelity than a proper live show. I mean, yes, we got very close on the last Living Room Tour, but this way guarantees EVERYONE in attendance has the best seat, best view and best sound in the house. Still not sold? No problem, you can email hello@undertowmusic.com for a refund. We kindly ask that you do so by August 11th, so that we can put those tickets back on sale for other folks. [THE REFUND WINDOW IS NOW CLOSED, SEE YOU AT THE SHOWS!]

8. I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT ZOOM, WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO?
Please consult this handy guide from Undertow Music: [HERE].

9. WHAT ABOUT MERCH? YOU CAN’T HAVE A SHOW WITHOUT MERCH!
Well isn’t that the truth! I’m doing some CRAZY limited-time deals on records, t-shirts and anything else you might have purchased in person at the shows. As always, I’m happy to personalize or customize anything at all. Just let me know what you want in the comments field when you check out. Here are the deals: [HERE].

10. WHAT ELSE?
That’s all I got. I am thankful for your support and will see you in the ZOOM! [BUY TIX].
